A smashing day of accomplishments, if I do say so myself.  I left the house around 2:30 with the kids, intending to take them on a car nap while I ran some errands, and then grocery shop after they woke up.  That’s ultimately what I did, although it didn’t work out the way I had planned.  We left and I drove to Sonic in Avon to get a diet soda to drink while I ran around.  Usually the kids are asleep before we get there, but not this time!  From there, we headed up to my brother’s to drop off some sentimental items of his that I had rescued from my dad’s apartment when I cleaned it out (back in 2009) – his marbles, a folder with his drawings and art projects that my mom had kept, and a folder containing the halloween decorations that we would put up around the house when we were kids.  I also picked up my power-washer, which I had loaned to him a while back.

From there, we headed to Liss’ house to drop off a piece to the Bumbo seat we had borrowed from her when our kids were very little, that we’d been trying to get back to her for several weeks – we’d seen her probably half a dozen times and kept forgetting to get it out of the car to give to her.  On the way, the children declared they had to potty, so we stopped to do that, and then continued.  Notice that at this point, we’ve been out of the house about an hour and a half if not more and they haven’t napped yet…

Dropped off the item at Liss’ and the kids decided they needed to use the potty again, so we did.  From there, we headed back to Brownsburg to grocery shop, only Jasper fell asleep RIGHT before we got to the grocery store.  I then had to convince Violet to take a nap as well, and then wait for the two of them to wake up.  Finally they woke up, and then insisted on walking (slowly) through most of the grocery store.  So we were gone a LONG time, getting back in time to have dinner and not much else before it was bedtime – but at least I’d worn them out.

I also managed to (with Alice’s help) wash, dry, and put away three loads of laundry, and get the fourth load into the dryer.

Since last week, I’m down 0.4 pounds, and 27.3 pounds overall.  Which works out to about 1.95 pounds a week since I started.  Although the progress for each week has been wildly different, the overall progress has been fairly level – I’m satisfied with how it’s going at this moment in time, even though I’d prefer it were going faster (but lets be honest, I’d love to wake up 100 pounds lighter tomorrow morning).
