First up, the week twelve results. Technically, I’m up 0.1 lbs from last week. In reality, I knew last week that I hadn’t been doing good on my water at all, and my weight was likely lower than reality due to this. Overall, I’ve lost 21.1 pounds, at a rate of 1.75 pounds a week. It’s definitely progress, especially recently.
Additionally, today marks three days in a row below 380, so we can call goal #4 achieved! Given that I’ve weighed in below today’s number twice (two previous days), I think we are well on our way to the next goal as well. In the macro sense, I don’t feel like much is changing – because the rate of change is slow enough that I don’t really see much day to day. But once you start looking 2 weeks back, suddenly it’s pretty clear I’m making progress.
As far as accomplishments go, yesterday I managed to get together with a bunch of subject matter experts (on sewing) and get their features wish-lists for the web app I’m building – Stitchy. It was a hugely successful and productive activity. I definitely feel I have a much stronger picture of what it is I need to be building for that. So that’s exciting! I also can cross off completing the exercise myself. I intended to get it done a day or two before, but ended up running out of time, so I did filled out index cards with the features I was considering at the same time as everyone else. I also managed to empty and refill the dishwasher, and wash all the pots and pans that were dirty, while making dinner. I’ve had three very active days in a row – I’m a lot more tired at night, and having extremely bizarre/disturbing dreams as a result of all the daytime mental activity, but I’m feeling motivated and energetic and like I’m making forward progress on my goals.
This is, ultimately, a very good thing.
