Wow, what a day. Managed to give Alice a chance to go get some more sleep in the morning. Then I got her car washed, vacuumed, and cleaned the windows inside. Ran over to Wal Mart to pick up a few groceries we needed, and then on to a friend’s house to drop off a meal for them (they gave birth to a new baby a day or two ago). Dropped off the paper recycling as well. Took the kids for a nap and car wash in my car, then dropped them off and took my car back to the car wash to vacuum it, clean the windows, and vacuum the car seats thoroughly. Reinstalled the car seats in Alice’s car (we swapped cars back in early June “for a week or two” and just now finally were able to swap back). Helped Alice finish cooking dinner, then loaded the last few things in the dishwasher and started it.
A crazy productive day!
Also realized I forgot to log an accomplishment on Friday – I finished reading the latest book I was reading, “The Lean Startup”. I used to be a pretty avid reader, but that’s fallen off in the last 10 years or so, but I’m on a really good run recently. Since mid-July, I’ve read: “The 4-Hour Work Week”, “Oh Crap Potty Training”, “The Lean Startup”, “Choose Your Own Autobiography (Neil Patrick Harris)”, and “Let Go”. I’ve not read that many books in this short a time, possibly not within a year even, in several years. I’ve started my next book, “Will It Fly”.
